Our evil enemy (UPDATED)

Journalists around the world sometimes suffer great horrors as they try to tell their stories.

Here at Uncommon Sense, you will read plenty about Cuba's independent journalists, both in and out of prison.

My brother and sister journalists, like television reporter Atwar Bahjat, who was killed in February, are also under attack in Iraq.

All the grisly details of how she died, as revealed in a column in today's Sunday Times of London are just now being learned.

Apart from the sadness that comes with knowing how a colleague died while doing her job, her death reveals ever more clearly the evil we are fighting in Iraq.

It's a fight we cannot abandon.
