... and Cuba is the plantation.
So writes Babalú's Val Prieto in a guest posting at Michelle Malkin:
What else does one call a place where the people eat what one man feeds them; work at what one man decides that they work on; march when one man tells them to march; say what one man tells them to say and think only what one man tells them to think. What else do you call a place where the people are kept from progressing as individuals, where the people are kept away from information, where people are isolated from the rest of the world?
In that respect, Castro is no different than any other communist dictatorship in history. The masses for whom communism is supposed to be such a wonderful thing, are only slaves to the whims and power-hungry needs of their dictators.
What is different about Castro is that after 47 years of hard evidece that he is nothing but a slavemaster, there are those — including many, as Val points out, who ought to know better — who want to honor this bastard.
Cuban News Agency has the poop on a birthday party for Castro planned for today in Harlem:
"It's a celebration of the Cuban Revolution and Fidel's birthday," said Vicente Panama Alba, one of the organizers of the party to be held at the St. Ambrose Church, on 130 Street between Lenox and Fifth, deep in the heart of Harlem, the daily said.
The celebration will also be a reply to those in Miami who, shortly after news broke of the temporary transferring of powers in Cuba, went out to Calle 8 to celebrate.
"The Cuban worms [in Miami] and the US government hope for a transition when Fidel dies," said Alba, who added with a smile, they are way behind, because that process began in 1959."
Imagine the outrage if there were similiar festivities in an American city to honor Hitler or Stalin. There really is no difference.
What makes the Castro party planned for Harlem such a travesty is that Castro's is the most racist regime in the Americas.
Of course, to Castro, all Cubans — white, black, mulatoo, etc. — are slaves.
If these black "leaders" in Harlem want to honor a Cuban, they should honor Oscar Biscet.
He's black.
He's proud.
And he's not a slavemaster.
A special welcome to readers of Michelle Malkin's blog:
Before you leave, please check out some of my other posts, including breaking news about the apparent arrest of a leading Cuban dissident, Dr. Darsi Ferrer.
Also, did you know that more than 20 independent journalists are currently locked up in Fidel Castro's dungeons, some serving prison terms of up to 27 years?
