The "Today" show's Web page includes a link to this quiz about Fidel Castro. I almost lost it at the first question:

1. How many U.S. presidents has Castro outlasted?

(The answer is 9)

It's one of those useless facts brought out every once in a while to demonstrate the supposed futility of American policy towards the Castro's dictatorship, and the supposed legitmacy of his regime.

Of course, the obvious followup questions never gets asked:

How many presidential elections have there been in the United States since 1959?

The answer: 12

And:

How many presidential elections have there been in Cuba since 1959?

The answer: 0

Those are the numbers that matter.
