Another journalist barred from leaving home
Former political prisoner Oscar Mario Gonzalez was at least the fourth independent journalist to be blocked from attending a teleconference Monday at the U.S. Interests Section in Havana.
Police officers when to Gonzalez's home that morning and told him that he would not be allowed to attend a session, sponsored by Florida International University in Miami, about journalism. An officer was stationed outside to make sure Gonzalez didn't leave, according to a report posted at CubaNet.
Earlier, I reported that journalists Aini Martín Valero, Iván Sañudo Pupo and Richard Roselló also were blocked from attending the same meeting.
