Cuban cops arrest about a dozen dissidents

About a dozen Cuban dissidents, including former political prisoner Jorge Luís García Pérez (Antúnez), were arrested Wednesday afternoon, as they marched towards the cemetery in the town of Placetas to commemorate the victims of the Castro dictatorship, according to a report posted at Miscelaneas de Cuba.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the fate of the detainees was not known. A police official told activist Loreto Hernández García that the prisoners would be released only with the authorization of interior ministry officials in Havana.
