Only the most naive or the most delusional would expect anything different, but the Castro dictatorship this week rejected international calls for it to release political prisoners from its gulag, saying the demands "are not based on reality."
And tomorrow the sun will rise in the east.
The dictatorship's continued intransigence on the question of political prisoners is reason enough for the continued intransigence of those of us who insist that political prisoners MUST be released before the United Statse can even begin to talk to Havana about better relations.
