As you go through life and work and play today, please take a moment to consider this:
In retaliation for a hunger strike he started Feb. 24, guards at the Kilo 5 1/2 prison in Pinar del Rio have squeezed Cuban political prisoner Eduardo Díaz Fleitas, into a punishment cell less than 4 feet long and 6 feet wide at the Kilo 5 1/2 prison, according to a report posted at Payo Libre.
Appropriately, the cell is nicknamed "the hole."
Díaz is one of at least seven prisoners at Kilo 5 1/2 and the nearby Kilo 8 prisons to go on hunger strike to protest the death Feb. 23 of fellow prisoner Orlando Zapata Tamayo. All of their lives are in danger, and not just because they are starving themselves.
Any type of protest is intolerable, and considering the muted response in many international circles, the murdering Castro dictatorship figures they can get away with any retaliation.
Please, prove the bastards wrong.
