Cuban political prisoner Escobedo remains on hunger strike

Cuban political prisoner Egberto Escobedo Morales remains on a hunger strike he started April 16 to demand that the Castro dictatorship hold a dialogue with the internal opposition, according to Radio Martí.

As a sign of how threatened the Castro dictatorship feels by Escobedo's protest, the authorities are ordering common "inmates" at his prison in Camagüey to assault Escobedo, according to the report.
