Anti-Castro activists Guillermo Farinas and Angel Moya Acosta were among dissidents arrested Tuesday during a protest in Villa Clara, according to Martinoticias.com.
Farinas is one of Cuba's most prominent dissidents. A past recipient of Europe's top human rights prize, Farinas has been arrested countless times -- including several times already in the new year.
Moya was one of the Group of 75 prisoners jailed during the "black spring" of 2003. He was one of the final prisoners to be released after he made clear he would not accept forced overseas exile as a condition of parole.
As of Wednesday evening, Farinas, Moya and a third activist arrested, Jorge Luis Artiles, remained in jail.
