Cuban human rights group reports 428 arrests in January

There was no let-up in repression in Cuba in the first month of 2012.

The Centro de Informacion Hablemos Press (CIHPRESS) news agency and human rights group reported that in January there were 428 politically motivated arrests in Cuba. In all of 2011, there were 3,835 arrests.
