Gerardo Terrero Sarrión, 18, is Cuba's youngest political prisoner, facing a charge of "assault" after he got into an argument with a communist official in more in mid-July.
With nothing left to fight back with except for with his life, Terrero, who is being held at the Cuba Si prison, has started a hunger strike to demand his freedom. And to demonstrate his level of desperation, Terrero, who had been set to enter college this month, has sewn his mouth shut, according to the CIHPRESS news agency.
Terrero was arrested upon his return from a trip to Havana, where he and his family were preparing documents needed to leave Cuba as political refugees, according to CIHPRESS
