The 26th day of Cuban political prisoner Calixto Ramon Martinez's hunger strike was marked by an ominous development: Inmates at the Combinado del Este in prison told Roberto de Jesus Guerra, Martinez's editor at the CIHPRESS news agency, that State Security officials had removed Martinez from a punishment cell and transferred him to an unknown location.
There is no need for speculation about what his transfer means. Just remember the toll his protest must be taking on him.
And never forget the murdering nature of the Castro regime.
