Roberto de Jesus Guerra
UPDATED, 7:10 p.m. EDT -- Via Twitter, Roberto de Jesus at 6:16 p.m. reported that he had just been released. He said he was arrested at 8:36 a.m.
Roberto de Jesus Guerra, one of the most accomplished independent journalists in Cuba, was arrested Tuesday morning in Havana.
No details of his arrest, which was first reported via Twitter by former prisoner of conscience and independent journalist Ivan Hernandez Carrillo, were immediately available Tuesday afternoon.
Guerra, who has been arrested numerous times because of his work as a journalist, is director of the Hablemos Press news agency (CIHPRESS), the same group for which prisoner of conscience Calixto Ramon Martinez reported before his arrest Sept. 16. (Wednesday was the 20th day of a hunger strike Martinez started to demand his release.)
