Laura Pollan, the founder of the Cuban Damas de Blanco, or "Ladies In White," died Oct. 14, 2011. On the eve of this awful anniversary, the Castro dictatorship has unleashed yet another wave of repression against the Damas, perhaps the most effective opposition group on the island.
