The meeting of "non-aligned" nations underway in Havana this week is significant to the extent that it A) Might reveal who's got the real power in the Cuban government as Fidel Castro "recovers" from his illness; and B) Might reveal more about the intentions of "leaders" like Venezuela's Chavez and Iran's Ahmadinejad.
Talk about a couple of guys non-aligned with reality.
Beyond that, the group's anti-American, anti-Israeli, anti-reality agenda is not worth repeating, so you won't read much about it here.
On the periphery, though, a couple of organizations — one on the island, one off — are using the summit to highlight the repressive nature of the host nation.

Ignoring a government order restricting gatherings and movements of large groups of people during the summit, the Ladies in White — which is made up of female relatives of Cuban political prisoners — on Sunday took its customary Sunday march through downtown Havana.
These ladies, who have taken everything the government has thrown at them, have ovaries of steel.
"If we accept everything (the government) orders, then we have accept that our husbands are in prison because they are there," said Laura Pollán.
The Ladies in White last month called on foreign leaders attending the summit to request the freeing of Cuban political prisoners.

In a report released to coincide with the summit, Reporters Without Borders (RSF) noted that the host nation, as well as many other countries represented, have little regard for a free press.
“This summit should not be used as a screen for governments for whom the imbalance between North and South justifies dictatorship, oppression and the absence of a state of law”, said RSF, stressing that, “The protection and promotion of human rights are among the objectives in the draft final document which will be submitted to member countries for approval during the summit.”
As president of the non-aligned movement for the next three years, Cuba is supposed to ensure member nations keep promises made at the summit.
Of course, except for China, Cuba imprisons more journalists than any nation in the world.
Child of the Revolution has more.
