More Cuba blogs on the block

Not all Cuba bloggers are created the same.

We don't all write all the time about Fidel Castro, the embargo or how the media has done Cuban Americans wrong.

Thank God.

There are some who seek to inform the world about Cuban and Cuban American culture by writing about their daily lives.

Two of my favorites are Yuca Baby and Brandon's Puppy.

They will opine on political matters when the muse strikes them, but in a manner most literate, they are more likely to tell you about their vacations and the daily joys of raising a child.

On my blogroll, you'll find two new Cuba blogs that focus more on the personal than the political. They are:

Bilingual in the Boonies, by "Mami Hen," a Cuban American mom living in Tennessee writing about training her toddler daughter to think and speak in both English and Spanish.

My Big, Fat, Cuban Family, by Marta Darby, Marta Darby, "a Cuban-American homeschooling, scrapbooking, creative-type mother of 4."
