Journalist du Bouchet denounces recent conviction

Cuban independent journalist Albert Santiago du Bouchet Hernández, convicted earlier this month of stealing a hankerchief once belonging to Fidel Castro, this week denounced the government for prosecuting him:

"I have been the victim of a false prosecution by the government of Fidel Castro, which spares no recourse or means to silence the independent press."
