Fidel Castro's latest "reflection," is just his cut-and-paste version of a story in a Spanish newspaper about a meeting, about a month before the start of the Iraq war, between President Bush and former Spanish prime minister José María Aznar, during which they discussed the situation in Iraq, and the prospects for war or peace.
Omitted from Castro's article is that just as the bombs began to fall on the night of March 19-20, 2003, and the world's attention was on Baghdad, his secret police was rounding up about 80 Cuban dissidents, unleashing a "black spring," on the island.
Something to remember when considering this week's events in Burma, and in Havana.
