The Cuban dictatorship Sunday shipped two human rights activists to the Combinado del Este prison in Havana, after they were convicted of being "pre-criminal social dangers." José Luís Rodríguez Chávez and Leodán Mangana López were each sentenced to 4 years in prison, according to a report by independent journalist Mercedes L. García, posted at Bitácora Cubana.
Their "trials," such as they were, were held in secret, without the presence of relatives or other members of the public, according to the report.
Rodríguez and Mangana are members of the Cuban Human Rights Foundation.
