Cuban prisoner of conscience Héctor Raúl Valle Hernández was taken violently to a punishment cell at the Guanajay maximum security prison, after he shouted slogans protesting injustice and demanding better medical care, according to a report posted at Payo Libre.
Valle, a labor and human rights activist, was arrested during the "black spring" crackdown of March-April 2003 and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
