Political prisoner Víctor Yunier Fernández Martínez was released from prison last month, after completing a 3-year sentence for being a "pre-criminal social danger."
If there is anything good to say about the Cuban "justice system," it is that political prisoners are usually released from prison after completing their sentence. Of course, they shouldn't have been in prison in the first place, and Fernández's release should not be interpreted as a sign of greater change by the regime, but the dictatorship's adherence to its own pronouncements offers at least a little hope for prisoners and their families.
