Francisco Díaz
The Castro dictatorship has had enough enough of Francisco Herodes Díaz Echemendía.
After Díaz, a political prisoner since August 1990 when he was sentenced to 20 years in prison, refused to follow a set of conditions for his release, authorities on Monday let him out anyway, according to a report from Cuban independent journalist Ainí Martín Valero.
According to Díaz had been subjected to numerous beatings and other abuse during his time in the Castro gulag — including being branded with "CR," for "counter-revolutionary."
