Two Cuban political prisoners have been released after they completed their respective prison terms.
Jorge Ramírez Calderón, a member of the Frank País 30th of November Democratic Party, was released June 28, after serving two years in prison on a charge of "disrespecting authority." (Read more about him here.)
And Armando de Jesús Medel Martín, a former Cuban intelligence agent, was released June 29 after serving 20 years in prison on charges of "espionage" and "rebellion, according to Payo Libre.
