Almost four months after a deal for the release was announced by the Catholic Church of Cuba, on behalf of its partners in the Spanish government and the Castro dictatorship, 13 of the Cuban political prisoners covered by the deal remain in jail.
Mostly, they haven't been released, and subsequently kicked out of the country, because they refuse to accept forced exile in exchange for their "freedom."
All have been imprisoned since the "black spring" of 2003.
The 13, and the prison sentences they are serving, are:
1. Pedro Argüelles Morán (sentenced to 20 years)
2. Oscar Elias Biscet (25 years)
3. Eduardo Díaz Fleitas (21 years)
4. José Daniel Ferrer García (25 years)
5. Luis Enrique Ferrer García (28 years)
6. Diosdado González Marrero (20 years)
7. Ivan Hernández Carrillo (25 years)
8. Librado Linares García (20 years)
9. Héctor Maseda Gutiérrez (20 years)
10. Juan Angel Moya Acosta (20 years)
11. Félix Navarro Rodríguez (25 years)
12. Arnaldo Ramos Lauzurique (18 years)
