Former Cuban prisoner of conscience Ariel Sigler Amaya is alive and well and strong!

After his release after more than 7 years in the Castro gulag, Ariel Sigler Amaya looked like this when he arrived in Miami in July 2010. His spirit was strong, but his body appeared broken.

Less than 10 months later, he looks like this — a testament to the power of freedom, the human spirit and American, non-Castro health care.
