Two former prisoners of conscience, Angel Moya and Librado Linares, remain in police custody after they were arrested last week to block their participation in a nationwide march, according to Radio Marti.
Officials had assured family members that Moya and Linares would be released shortly, but as of Saturday evening they remained in jail.
Moya and Linares are members of the Group of 75 prisoners of conscience imprisoned during the "black spring" of 2003 and released last year and this. Moya and Linares are among the dozen Group of 75 prisoners who chose to stay in Cuba rather than accept forced overseas exile as a condition of their release.
Many of those 12 have actively joined the resistance -- and accepted all the risks that entails.
And the Castro regime has not relented in its attempts to silence them.
