Sheer volume makes it impossible for this blog to report on every act of repression in Cuba currently underway or soon to happen in Cuba, as freedom fighters and their oppressors in the Castro regime commemorate International Human Rights Day on Saturday.
I am doing what I can, especially via Twitter and Facebook, but there is plenty you can do. And it's very easy.
It's very easy for you, too, to be a human rights activist for Cuba.
A few ideas. Follow this blog on Twitter, @marcmasferrer. No not to boost my ego, but I have curated a list of valuable sources of news and information about the human rights on the island. Read what's there and retweet and otherwise share with those who follow you.
If you're only on Facebook, cut and paste some tweets into your status. Each gesture reminds the activists, and those who oppress them, that they are not forgotten, that they are not alone.
It's easy and you will be providing an invaluable service for Cubans on the island standing up for their rights.
And your rights, too.
The oppression in Cuba is wide and vast, and even those of us with the best intentions will not succeed alone in spreading the word about what is happening.
But together, with each of us doing our small part, we can help change Cuba.
And help change the world.
VIVA CUBA LIBRE! Long Live a Free Cuba!
Y VIVA LOS DERECHO HUMANOS! Long Live Human Rights!
