Facebook page set up to rally support for imprisoned Cuban journalist Calixto Martinez

A new Facebook page has been set up to rally support for imprisoned Cuban journalist Calixto Ramon Martinez, who was arrested Sept. 16 and now faces a charge of "insulting Fidel and Raul Castro. Conviction could mean up to 3 years in prison.

In fact, Martinez is in jail because of his work as a journalist, which includes reporting about recent outbreaks of cholera and dengue on the island.

The InterAmerican Press Association, Reporters Without Borders and other groups and individuals have called for Martinez's release.
