More than a day after his arrest, Cuban journalist Calixto Martinez is missing

The whereabouts of Calixto Ramon Martinez Arias, a Cuban independent journalist and former political prisoner was arrested Sunday, remained unknown as of late Monday, according to fellow journalist Roberto de Jesus Guerra Perez.

Martinez is a journalist with Centro de Informacio Hablemos Press, or CIHPRESS, one of the most active independent news agencies on the island. The group is headed by Guerra, who earlier this month was arrested and detained for about 48 hours before he was released.

Guerra reported on Martinez's arrest via Twitter.
