Via Twitter, Cuban independent journalist Roberto de Jesus Guerra reported that his colleague, Hector Cedeño Negrin, has been released after almost two weeks in a Cuban jail.
Details of his release had not been reported, but Guerra wrote in his tweet that Cedeño, who is almost 60, was at the Havana headquarters of the Hablemos Press news agency, which which Cedeño was reporting when he was arrested while trying to photograph police inspectors who were harassing private taxi drivers at a Havana park.
Guerra is the head of the news agency.
Other Hablemos Press reporter, Calixto Ramon Martinez Arias, has been jailed since Sept. 16, and has been designated a prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International.
