Lilvio Fernández Luis
Cuban youth activist Lilvio Fernández Luis, leader of the group Active Youth, United Cuba (JACU) was arrested early Tuesday after police raided his home, according to multiple reports from the island. Family members were worried about his safety because they do not know where he is being held.
During the raid, police seized Fernandez's computer, cell phone, camera, memory sticks and office supplies.
Fernandez was arrested on the eve of a three-day congress of the JACU members, during which it was expected that the organization would meet with youth members of the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), one of the most active opposition groups on the island.
Fernandez's wife offers details about his arrest here.
