After almost a week in jail, which included lengthy interrogation sessions with his captors, Cuban democracy activist Jorge Luis Perez Garcia, "Antunez," is back at home, albeit under house arrest until the Castro dictatorship can figure what to do next in its perpetual, and so far unsuccessful, campaign to silence him.
In an interview with Martinoticias.com, Antunez describes what he went through this past week, including one detail that is stunning even for those who fully understand the depths of the regime's cruel disregard for the Cuban people, especially those Cubans brave enough to defy it.
I summed translated what Antunez Uncommon Sense's Twitter feed:
1/2 @antunezcuba : I wasn't beaten in jail but #Cuba police beat other prisoner & ordered him to say he was Antunez http://t.co/F2uVULyB5D

2/2 Goal was to make @antunezcuba 's wife @YrisCuba think guards were going to kill Antunez. http://t.co/F2uVULyB5D
