El Sexto, center, and members of the Damas De Blanco.
Five days after he was released after almost 10 months in a Cuban jail without trial, Cuban graffiti artist Danilo "El Sexto" Maldonado was arrested Sunday in Havana. His one of the more notable 200 or so political detentions on the island on at least the 27th consecutive Sunday of repression in Cuba.
El Sexto had gone to Gandhi Park in Havana, where the Damas de Blanco {"Ladies In White" and other anti-Castro groups regularly gather on Sundays, to express his gratitude for their support during his imprisonment.
Others arrested, and later released, included Jose Daniel Ferrer Garcia, seen below, on the right, on Sunday meeting with El Sexto, whose whereabouts could not immediately be determined.
